I called In Desperation as didn't know how to fix my computer. Found that I had a virus due to no protection and during the check up I also mentioned it runs slowly. Tristan was kind enough to help educate me on how to maintain my pc so that I get the best performance and instead of buying an expensive antivirus I now pay a monthly fee for him to monitor my pc because it's more affordable and no stress on renewal updates either. The best tech around.I really put Tristan through the wringer with the job I brought to him. I had sought him out after another tech based at Morayfield failed to assemble a gaming rig made from components I had supplied. He was unable to get it to post. First things first: I picked up the nonfunctional rig , and took it to Tristan who had the very unenviable and complicated task of diagnosing why a PC composed of brand new hardware was essentially a brick. To compound this problem further, the INWIN 301 case had its catch broken in transport; a weird, and difficult problem to address that most techs would have refused to try and deal with. Tristan got to work immediately. He took the time to consult with the manufacturer and was able to restore the catch to perfect functionality. That same day, he began the arduous task of running diagnostics to determine what the problem with the PC was.This represented an absolutely massive time investment as any of the components could have been causing the fault. Ultimately he was able to single out that the previous tech who had attempted to build the PC had installed the PSU incorrectly, and had shorted the mainboard and the CPU. Naturally I was irate; I was out close to 300$ for the build payed to the guy who had essentially killed a brand new PC, and was in the unfortunate position of having to buy new parts, and do the entire build again. If Tristan had charged me based on time invested, the bill for all the testing, and to rebuild the PC from the ground up, would have run somewhere in the vicinity of 500$. That would have been fair. But he didn't; he understood that I had been the victim of a shonky tech, and charged me significantly less than half that. He communicated with me every step of the way, and whenever I called for an update, he picked up the phone--a rare quality to find in an professional these days. And the build is beautiful; everything is secured and the cable management is superb. If you're looking for someone honest, reliable, and overall extremely competent, then look no further.Tristan is simply very, very good at what he does, his rates are beyond reasonable. I've tried a bunch of different techs in the local districts throughout the years and he is hands down the best. It's not even close.
